Salsa Criolla (Tomato Salsa Recipe) – Ready in 5 Minutes!
Salsa Criolla is a wonderful Argentinian salsa dish (also popular in other South American countries) made primarily with onion, tomato and pepper.
It’s commonly used as an accompaniment for meat dishes (it goes perfectly with our vegan Choripán recipe) but also adds something different to a salad, on a sandwich or topped over some vegan nachos!

Salsa Criolla (Vegan Salsa Recipe)
This simple, fresh and zesty tomato salsa recipe is ready in just 5 minutes! Salsa Criolla is a South American salsa popular in Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Uruguay.
- 1/2 red onion finely diced
- 1 big tomato seeded and finely diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper seeded and finely diced
- 1/8 tsp fresh parlsey finely chopped
- 1/4 olive oil extra virgin
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
In a bowl, mix together the onion, tomato and pepper.
Add the olive oil, parsley, red wine vinegar and seasoning. Mix well.
